Hey, I’m Rhulani Mashele . I’m a student living in Johannesburg . i have always wanted to study teaching especially at UJ. I believe that teaching is something that I am passionate about. I used to teach my classmate history after school that’s when I fell in love with history hence I decided to major With History And I am currently on my third year. Being a student at UJ works in my favor. Since we are in the fourth industrial re and UJ serves as an institution that is technologically advanced. My teaching motto has always been “teach me I will forget let me do it myself I will remember” a quote by Benjamin Franklin hence I want to be a teacher that gives my leaners a chance to express their thought to enhance participation in my classroom. As I allow my students to express their thoughts i will be learn from them too because teaching is not a one way street we both learn from each other. well when it comes to my personal level I am a very nice person who is always willing to assist other people one of the reason why I choose teaching I want to see people around me prospering. I love coffee and shopping unfortunately I’m not yet financially stable hahaha. I believe in making people feel comfortable around me and I want to do that with my learners too because when they are free around me as their teacher it will enhance participation. I want all my students to feel free despite their personal circumstance. as we know teaching is a profession that gives birth to all professions I am proud Of myself because i am on my journey to be part of the occupation that brings light to other profession.
