Riad Roomi

Dr. Riad Roomi is a UK/US trained surgeon, with over 25 years experience in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Having gained his extensive theoretical and practical experience in cosmetic surgery during his four years work for the UK's National Health Service and 22 years in private practice, half of which was in the UK.

Since 2007 he has been practicing plastic and hair restoration surgery in Dubai. He is fully registered and licensed by the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK. He also holds licenses to practice plastic surgery in Dubai by Dubai Health Authority, and the CPQ at Dubai Healthcare City.

Dr. Roomi has published papers in this field. He also patented five inventions, one of which won him four major awards including the First Prize of the Toshiba Year of Invention Competition in 1989, the SMART Award by the British DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) and the Richardson Gold Medal presented at the UK’s House of Lords by the Institute of Patentees and Inventors.

In addition to his clinical duties, he has reviewed many articles for the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery and served as an examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery since 2011.
