Howdy, I’m Ricardo. I’m a Philanthropic Advisor living in Grand Rapids, MI. I am a fan of design, entrepreneurship, and innovation. I’m also interested in education and politics.

I'm a senior associate at Ktisis Capital, where I serve as a strategy and organization advisor, research lead, and project manager for a diverse mix of individuals and foundations. Prior to joining the Ktisis team, I served as project specialist for community enrichment in the Office of the President at Grand Valley State University. In that role, I facilitated projects that strengthened the town-gown and community relationships, helping to center Grand Valley as the preeminent place-based regional institution in Michigan.

I hold a Master of Public Administration degree with foci in public management and urban and regional policy and planning, and a B.S. in history and public & nonprofit administration – both from Grand Valley. I am certified for the responsible conduct of research, earned the Graduate Dean’s Citation for Academic Excellence, and was a NASPA Undergraduate Fellow. I serve on the board of directors for Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities and on the value proposition working committee for the World Affairs Council of West Michigan.

I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan where I spend my free time working to become the unofficial connoisseur of craft cocktails, supporting all things local, and taking my pup, Casper, for long walks.
