Ricardo Brentar

Ricardo Brentar, Vice President at The Travelers Indemnity Company, serves as Regional Underwriting Officer with the company’s Latin American operations. With 20 years of experience in both primary insurance and reinsurance industries, Ricardo Brentar’s professional qualifications span all levels of underwriting positions through executive management. Also experienced in marketing and business development, Mr. Brentar demonstrates familiarity in both domestic and international surety settings. Beginning his surety career with SCOR as an Account Underwriter, he progressed to a management position in underwriting with General Electric Company, a technology and financial services company. In his seven years with General Electric Company, Mr. Brentar additionally served as Second Vice President with surety, credit, and political risk leadership responsibilities. Ricardo Brentar later attained a position within the company as Financial Risk Manager. Following his employment with General Electric Company, Mr. Brentar held senior and executive underwriting positions with Chubb Group of Insurance Companies and Arch Insurance Group Inc.

Connected with his profession, Ricardo Brentar retains memberships in the Panamerican Surety Association, The Surety & Fidelity Association of America, and the Reinsurance Association of America. He also donates to numerous domestic and international charity organizations. His financial contributions benefit earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan, autism and cancer research, and organizations supporting children with cancer. A volunteer children’s soccer coach, Mr. Brentar aids children in better approach concepts such as competition, self-discipline, and teamwork, as well as self-confidence through skill improvement. Ricardo Brentar pursues recreational soccer as a hobby, along with Taekwondo and surfing.
