Ricardo Jorge Lopes

PhD in Biology (specialized in Ecology) and currently post-doctoral researcher at CIBIO (Centro de Investigação em Biodiversidade e Recursos Genéticos da Universidade do Porto). My research is mainly focused in Conservation Biology (25 articles), from genetics to community level. In this scope, monitoring, management and restoration of aquatic habitats and their populations, especially birds, have been one of my main areas of research. Participated in many portuguese (FCT) and european (LIFE, INTERREG) projects. I have also been involved in the classification of protected wetlands and species conservation status.
