Riccardo Savi

Riccardo Savi is a photojournalist and commercial photographer based in Washington, DC. He photographs corporate, political, and social events and stories, along with head shots, studio setups, and on-location shoots.

Born in Rome, his career started as a news photographer. He moved to Los Angeles and worked for fashion icon Herb Ritts, where he learned the craft of location lighting, ultimately leading him to commercial photography. Known for his ability to capture the most fleeting moments in a vast array of settings, Riccardo photographs for clients, corporations, and agencies around the world, including Getty Images and Polaris Images.

His work appears in books, magazines, and newspapers. Riccardo believes that the ability to adapt rapidly to changing light in a variety of circumstances is key to creating imagery. His style is candid, classic, and non-intrusive.

He is environmentally conscious and an animal rights advocate. He has a six year-old daughter, and four-year-old son.
