My name is Richard Carr and I have been building my sales & Investment career since 2005. Born in the south Chicago land area I attended Minooka High School and Joliet Junior College before moving to Clearwater Florida where I focused on sales and marketing. In 2005 I joined Land Rover North America as a Internet Sales Manager and was in charge of moving inventory across the country and handling the entire sales process. From Land Rover I was recrutied into the world of Investment Management at Merrill Lynch in Schaumburg, IL.
At Merrill Lynch I was enrolled in the Merrill Lynch Path of Achivement Program (POA). In this 24 month training program I was able to generate $24mm in assets and $10mm in Fee Based Investments from 2006-2009. During that time period I was able to aquire a Series 7, 66 and Insurance Lincenses. My specality at Merrill Lynch was Financial Planning, Asset Allocation, Mutual Funds, Stocks, Options, Municipal Bonds, Fixed Income instruments and mortgages. After the 2008 financial crisis Bank of America aquired Merrill Lynch and I was recrutied by a team with Raymond James Financial Advisors in New Lenox, IL.
At Raymond James I was a Junior Partner that was in charge of the client base non managed investment selection. From 3/2009 to 10/2010. Financial Planning, Retierment, and Investment Selection was my primary focus. In October 2010 I made the switch from the Financial Advisor side of the business to the Wholesale Asset Management side of the business with Deutsche Bank, DWS Investments.
At DWS Investments I'm the Internal Wholesaler for two territories covering Wire House, Independent Firm, RIA and 401k Firms in; Hawaii, Southern California, Southern Illinos, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska. My primary role at DWS Investment is to provide insight and guidance to Financial Advisors with the from the global insight of Deutsche Banks Economists and Portfolio Managers. Terriotry penetration and driving business with in of partner firms is a prime focus that has been very successful within my territories. My Goal in 2012 is to grow my skill set in Investment knowledge, sales technique and further my career in the investment industry. I will also be taking stage One of the CFA exam. Growing my professional network and branching out to other sales professionals in different industries is a goal that I would like to expand in 2012.
