Hi there, I’m Richard . I’m an attorney living in Lagos, Nigeria. I am a fan of movies, volunteering, and writing. I’m also interested in reading and travel.

I'm a thorough bred, self-motivated, highly innovative and result-oriented professional with strong bias for energy law and practice. I believe in the power of research to take one from obscurity to a position that allows reliable judgment/opinion to be proffered.

I am a lawyer like many but unlike many, I am certainly more than just a general practitioner. Sitting in court seeing cases drag very slowly, I was uncomfortable with the orthodoxy as I felt things weren't optimal and it was in weighing my options that I quit general practice and went to a specialist Firm where Prof. Yinka Omorogbe, SAN fired up my interest and imparted in me a life long love for the "hydrocarbons". Suffice to state explicitly that I am totally fascinated with oil and gas law and it remains a passionate area for me till this day.

Between that time and now, I have developed valuable cognitive skills and expertise in company secretarial practice, legal drafting, dispute resolution, corporate governance advisory, investor relations, regulatory compliance and corporate services. I have also garnered considerable experience in business development and corporate strategies and have a proven track record of navigating complex legal landscapes while driving strategic initiatives. I assist organizations reduce their legal, regulatory, contractual and governance risk exposure. I possess excellent people management & leadership skills with the ability to influence people positively. I have a good knowledge of corporate governance principles and its applicability in organizations and possess outstanding negotiation and communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues in simple terms.

I would describe myself as a driven and ambitious multi-disciplined lawyer. I am a self-starting problem-solver who never ends the quest for knowledge and improvement – of self, the organization and the world. I seek opportunity to learn, grow and network which I believe are invaluable experiences that present a unique path to a multilayered and well-rounded career.

My career objective is to carve a niche by continuously providing unsurpassed and Totally Quality Service (TQS) in my chosen field of endeavour.
