I hate to talk about myself, I would rather be tortured. The torture in this case would be an assignment for school, so here goes. I am a single father, my life revolves around my daughter who is now 8 years old. I chose this career path in order to provide a better life for my daughter than what I had when I was growing up. This little girl turned my life upside down starting with the day she was born. I regret a great many things from my youth; however, my daughter is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I have had all sorts of jobs through the years and followed a variety of educational paths. I went to school for Mechanical Drafting, CAD, Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Programming and now am enrolled in the Desktop Support Technician program. I have had jobs ranging from fastfood fry cook to head cook in a family style restaurant, construction to demolition. I worked in a book bindery for a while, essentially grew up working in a print shop and photography studio. I worked in graphic design when everything was still done with enormous cameras, typesetting machines and darkrooms. I worked on the school paper when cut and paste involved scissors and a hot wax machine or rubber cement. I have been tinkering with things since I could pick up a screwdriver and hammer and have yet to find anything I cannot fix with the help of the right tools and a good search engine.
