Lo Jardinier

I moved to the Languedoc region of southern France after taking early retirement six years ago, with my partner, who blogs under the name Chaiselongue (her blog is olivesandartichokes, also at wordpress).

Every spring I said to myself that I really must find out more about the incredible profusion of wild flowers that appears, and I've decided to do it by making this blog. I also love music, especially jazz, and especially live, and I thought I would play around with how botany and bop would fit together.

I'm not a botanist - I did get a Botany A level a very long time ago, and that does help me follow the techicalities, but mainly I'm learning now, enjoying it, and hoping to pass it on.
