Hi there
My name is Richard, I am a talented and emotionally intelligent academic and business professional. I have two degrees (Informatics - Cum Laude) from the University of South Africa.
I'm an advanced Angular developer for one of the top 5 banks in South Africa. A 2018 Google Africa Scholarship recipient as well as Free Code Camp 2018 Top Contributor recipient (see interview https://tinyurl.com/yxmnlmk5).
As a full stack web development engineer, I am constantly honing my skills, currently focusing on NodeJS and Java. I contribute to open source projects on Github.
In my capacity as co-admin of Free Code Camp - Johannesburg, I organise programming meetups for our campers. https://tinyurl.com/y3fgp65b
I am part of a 3 developer team that has built, shipped and maintain large complex web applications for Standard bank – collectively generated in excess of ZAR 2 billion ROI in less than a year.
I have extreme curiosity about software development, as such, I attend tech talks and have given one here https://youtu.be/ksVQ68wHR9c
