Richard A. Kimball, Jr. is the Managing Partner of HExL Capital. where he spearheads the corporate strategy and development of a dynamic and revolutionary healthcare technology business. HExL is creating population health programs focused on keeping the chronically ill stable, at home and out of the hospital. Furthermore, HExL focuses on and designs beneficial programs for telehealth, virtual health, home health care, preventative care, chronic disease management. HExL technology improves patient outcomes and deliver various benefits, most notably, lower costs to consumers.

Previously, Richard was the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Accretive Health, a healthcare technology company, where he was responsible for strategy, business development, sales, marketing, product management and population health. In this role, Richard led the development of a transformation strategy to evolve the company’s innovative revenue cycle management business by facilitating deeper patient engagement by hospitals and building the foundation for population health programs. Richard has built a valued network throughout the healthcare business enabling him to execute on high levels. As a trustee of the Brookings Institution, Richard specializes in health care public policy and is a member of the Audit Committee and the Metropolitan Studies Leadership Council. In addition, he was on the board of the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention in Harlem (local health care distribution), a single member corporation of Memorial Sloane Kettering. Prior to Accretive health, Richard specialized in the healthcare industry as an investment banker and venture capitalist for over 20 years, working at such Wall Street firms as Morgan Stanley and Millennium Technology Partners. At these firms, he operated in the capacity of Managing Director, Co-head of Global Healthcare Investment Banking and Co-head of Healthcare, Consumer and Retail Equity Capital Markets.

Richard is also member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Education was accomplished at Yale where he received a BA in Economics in 1986. In 2014, Richard was awarded to be a Fellow of the prestigious Stanford Distinguished Career Institute.
