Richard Bloem
With 24 years of project management, business development, and sales training, Richard Bloem shares his skills as a regional sales presentation trainer. Founder and owner of True North Homes and Endeavor Building System, LLC, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Richard Bloem focuses on environmentally sound homes with quality, family-friendly spaces. His passion for building green, unique homes propelled his companies to success throughout the recent downturn in the economy.
Richard Bloem gained an appreciation for energy efficiency while working on the production side of Structural Insulated Panels. In this role, he learned the importance insulation plays in interior comfort and the value of producing a product with little to no jobsite waste. Bloem received recognition in April 2012 for his contributions to the design and construction of a Structural Insulated Building Panel exhibit at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Additionally, Richard Bloem's commitment to green construction has brought recognition and awards from other industry leaders.
Richard Bloem has a solid reputation in the building industry. He garnered skills by working for Michigan Acoustical Supply House as operations manager and sales representative. He provided project management as a Divisional Operations Manager for Lumbermen's Inc. He also served as an eastern United States sales representative for a major manufacturer of structural insulated building panels (SIPs).
A Certified Michigan Green Builder, Bloem holds membership in the Michigan Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Grand Rapids Home Builders Association, among others. After developing an interest in building at an early age, he attended Grand Rapids Community College, where he studied business marketing and management. He pursued advanced sales and project management training through attendance at various professional programs such as the Dale Carnegie and Armstrong World Industries professional sales training.
