Richard Cross is the Group Commercial Manager at the Travel Village Group, a position he has held since 2020. He entered the travel industry in 2008, focusing on cruise holidays, and has since embarked on over 50 cruises across various lines, enriching his expertise in the sector. He has previously presented on Holiday & Cruise TV Channel for over 10 years hosting daily cruise programmes across Sky TV and Freeview. Richard has been fortunate to also work for the world renowned Cunard cruise line.

In his role at the Travel Village, Richard is the primary liaison with travel partners, cruise lines and tour operators, negotiating favourable deals and commercial terms to benefit the company's offerings.

Beyond his commercial responsibilities, Richard has contributed to the company's educational initiatives. He co-developed the River Cruise Academy, designed to equip agents with the knowledge and tools to enhance their river cruise sales.

In 2023 Richard was awarded the ‘Karen Hardiman CEO Award’ for his contribution to the business and his colleagues.

Richard's extensive experience and dedication have been instrumental in strengthening the Travel Village Group's partnerships and expanding its cruise holiday offerings.

Beyond his contributions to the travel industry, Richard is deeply involved in sports administration.

He serves as the Club Secretary and Welfare Officer for Marine Football Club, a semi-professional football team based in Crosby, Merseyside. His responsibilities include overseeing player administration, ensuring compliance with football regulations, and managing safeguarding matters. In 2021 he was voted an ‘Emirates FA Cup Hero’ for his hard work during Marine’s historic FA Cup run culminating in a home draw against Tottenham Hotspur which he was heavily involved in the planning for the game, whilst also being interviewed live on BBC’s Match of the Day.
