Richard C. Snow

Born in Anthony , Florida ( Ocala ) December of 1955 and lived for 7 years at Norris Cattle Company's ; Anthony Farms . My Father ( G.W. Snow ) was a Ranch Forman for James E. Norris , owner of the Ranch and the Detrort Red Wings . Back then Norris owned 4 of the Largest Farms and Cattle Farms / Ranches in Florida . Anthony Farms where I was Born , The Cross Bar Ranch , Circle Square Ranch and Oclawaha Farms . My Dad was Forman and Overseer of all of Norris's Farming Operations and Agricultrical Equipment which included numerous John Deere Tractors , Crawler Tractors , Trucks , Bulldozers and much more . By the time I was 5 , my Dad had instructed me well enough to drive and operate a Crawler Tractor Solo , Alone and by myself and only with him a few hundred yards away working on and maintaining other pieces of Equipment . This was before I even started the first grade . I remember it like it was yesterday . Many fond memories from Anthony Farms until Jan. 22nd 1964 when I lost both my Mother and Father due to them being murdered for some unknown reason . The investigation was simply covered up and claimed that he planned to kill us all and then commited suicide . That just didn't happen . I was the last to see Him alive , other than the one or people that shot him . He hid me in the cab of a Farm Truck just before he was shot some 200 feet away from where I was hiding . I saw the muzzle blast and heard the shot gun report just a few minites after he had left me . My Mother had already been killed by this time and my older brother had been severly injured and left for dead . He did servive , but it took some time for him to recover . We were quickly adopted by a uncle and aunt who later turned out to be the very last people who should have ever been alowed to have us . Turned out that all they wanted was our insurance money and the social security we each received until we finished high school. They turned out to be extremely hateful , abusive and much more I wont go into at this time. I lived in Tampa for 6 months with them until they moved again to the Lake County area ( Leesberg / Lady Lake , Fla. ) where we lived for around 3 years . Then around 1968 or 69 we moved to Doraville, Ga , where I attended Sequoyah High until 1972 when they decited to move back to Fla. I didn't want to go , so I left school and worked full time to survive until I joined the US Army Military Polices Forces around a year later . My Basic was at Ft. Knox , Ky.
