Richard D'Amico

Utilizing his vast knowledge of plastic surgery, Dr. Richard D’Amico traveled around the globe administering pro bono medical procedures. Dr. Richard D’Amico visited the Dominican Republic, Africa, and Mexico as part of various plastic surgery teams. In 1989, Dr. Richard D’Amico made an initial visit to Nairobi, Kenya, inspecting facilities for future work with plastic surgery teams. Over the course of a decade, Dr. Richard D’Amico returned to Nairobi as the Surgical Director of five separate teams, performing reconstructive surgery on the children of the area. Working with separate organizations, Dr. Richard D’Amico performed reconstructive surgery on children in India and Honduras as well. Television programs such as Good Morning Kenya and Fox News highlighted the charitable work of Dr. Richard D’Amico. As a former President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Dr. Richard D’Amico remains one of the leading authorities in the field. Dr. Richard D’Amico frequently appears on television programs such as The Today Show, Good Morning America, and CNBC as an expert on various aspects of plastic surgery. The original work of Dr. Richard D’Amico has received recognition in publications like Plastic Surgery Products and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. One of the leading plastic surgeons in New England, Dr. Richard D’Amico was named one of the best doctors in New Jersey and New York by New Jersey Monthly Magazine and New York Magazine. A native of New York, Dr. Richard D’Amico earned his Doctor of Medicine from the New York University School of Medicine in 1976. For his undergraduate studies, Dr. Richard D’Amico attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science and earned the New York State Regents Health Care Scholarship for Medicine and Dentistry. After spending several years completing internships and residencies in New York, Washington, D.C., and Oklahoma, Dr. Richard D’Amico received certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. in 1986.
