Richard Escobedo
Richard Escobedo is an first-year journalism major and history minor attending Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. He is a graduate of Communications Arts High School in San Antonio.
He publishes writings and thoughts on journalism, politics, books, and technology on his personal blog, Richard-Escobedo.com.
In March of 2012 Richard flew to New York City for a one-on-one interview with Diane Sawyer, the anchor of the flagship ABC News broadcast, World News. In a wide-ranging interview, Richard asked Diane about the state of journalism, her career, as well as her time at ABC News. His special report, A Conversation with Diane Sawyer was released online on May 22, 2012.
In the summer of 2012, he will be releasing his first book, the Parent Survival Guide to the Internet, a guidebook for parents about their teens and the Internet. In it he offers insightful and refreshing perspectives on everything from social networking to cyberbullying, as well as online piracy and Internet gaming.
Additionally Richard is the "Public Safety Team Leader" for TCU 360, overseeing a team which covers crime, law enforcement, and other public safety related issues pertaining to the TCU community.
