Richard Godley
Richard Godley Msc (Countryside Mgmt), PGDip (Public Rights of Way and Countryside Access), PTLLS, AMIPROW, Affiliate Member Inst of Learning, MCMA.Originally from near Chesterfield where he was involved from an early age in countryside management and local farming. His career (over 25 years) has involved many aspects of the environment from countryside management in both the public and private sector, waste management, sustainable development to interpretation, event management and rights of way and countryside access. He has been involved in a huge range of environmental, social and economic projects and schemes. As a well respected countryside/ environmental manager he has been responsible for devising and managing projects and grants and ensuring their successful completion. Operating at senior level he is used to working under pressure to delivered sustained targets, having delivered over 400 projects whilst working with the Peak District National Park Authority and managed grants in excess of £2 million. He is currently undertaking a PhD/ MPhil at SHU and completing teaching training in any spare time. He is also a Trustee of Grenoside Reading Room and Grenoside Village Green and a member of Sheffield Local Access Forum, Sheffield East Peak Leader committee and Grenoside Conservation Society (secretary/ treasurer).
