Writing about yourself is, in my opinion, one of the more difficult topics to tackle. This is why writers often begin such discourse with distracting commentary on the challenges of said self-reflection.
In ten years in the industry I have extensive experience managing, developing, and delivering a wide array of software applications for a fast-paced business in the financial industry.
I've done development work with Java, Spring, Python, Perl, Sybase, Oracle, DB2, Mongo, and KDB. I've managed code and projects with Jira, Crucible, Perforce, Git, and Trello. I've built tools for complex financial algorithms, extensive reference data management, and intuitive user interfaces.
In addition to all that I run a humble but well-known gaming culture website which has its own set of challenges including managing a team of writers, editors, and operational staff while also working directly with the site's owners to meet their expectations for both content and growth.
In my spare time I enjoy playing board games, card games, and video games, listening to music, playing ice hockey, and traveling.
