Richard Lublin
Conneticut
A retired attorney and actor, Richard Lublin now focuses on supporting the medical community and cancer research. Much of his philanthropic work has benefitted the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he currently serves on the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center Advisory Board. Over the years, he has made significant donations to advance cancer research at the center and has particularly supported the work of Dr. Upendra Hegde. Lublin and his wife also made an initial charitable gift to further Bioscience Connecticut initiatives at the UConn Health Center. The health center plans to recognize the Lublins by naming the new cancer center waiting room in their honor. On an annual basis, Richard Lublin and his wife sponsor UConn Health Center’s White Coat Gala and its Cancer Research Golf Tournament.
In addition to supporting the UConn Health Center, Lublin has contributed to a number of other organizations. He has donated to a cardiovascular surgery research fund at Hartford Hospital in honor of Dr. Hiroyoshi Takata, sponsored the Cancer Center of Cape Cod Hospital’s new waiting room, and created the Jane and Richard Lublin Research and Endowment Fund at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.
Outside of his medical philanthropy, Richard Lublin and his wife also contribute to no-kill animal shelters around Connecticut. He provides additional support to the Best Friends Animal Shelter in Utah.
