Many years ago when I was about 6 I saw 'The Water Seller of Seville' by Diego Velazquez in a large book on art, and ever since then I've been facinated by painting and drawing.
I mainly work in oil, gouache and pencil but also use a wide range of other media. I'd like to say that I paint and draw every day - but I can't quite ever seem to manage that!
With work in collections in a number of European countries as well as the USA and Japan, my work is being increasingly collected both in original and print format.
I try to get out to paint on the pavements and streets of the UK as often as I can as I've always believed that it's a great way to let lots of people see the process of creating paintings who wouldn't ordinarily see an artist at work. I often reprodude old masters as well as my own originals on the streets and do promotional street art for organisations.
