Richard Njoba is an entrepreneur with decades of experience in negotiation, business development, and strategic investing. Richard graduated from Lenana High School in 1976 after completing the school’s O level and A level systems. Eager to enter the working world, he obtained a position as a sales representative and management trainee for Wrigley Co. East Africa Ltd. The experience convinced Richard that managing was the career path for him– and it foreshadowed his focus on product manufacturing and distribution.

Over the next few years Richard worked his way up to be an assistant marketing manager at Wrigley Co. East Africa Ltd. He then earned managerial roles at Rex Rotary Kenya Ltd. (a distributor of photocopying machinery and accessories) and East African Office Equipment Co. Ltd (which supplied general office equipment and security equipment).

Currently, Richard is the founder and managing director of Themis Investments Ltd., Richard has helped revolutionize some of Kenya’s most progressive sources of revenue, from power generation facilities to sugar manufacturing.

Richard has a direct part in another one of Kenya’s best sources of revenue: coffee, which is a Top Four export crop. As the owner and director of the rapidly growing Samar Farm Ltd. in Muranga County, Richard recently earned an export license and plans to internationally export the farm’s coffee crops to places like Holland. Richard has big dreams for Samar Farm Ltd., and even though the acreage of the farm has already increased by over a hundred, he is not stopping there. He plans to expand a land parcel into a bona fide tourist spot in conjunction with Heritage Tours and Travel Limited, a company which Themis Investments Ltd. oversees.

A current board member for organizations like the ALCO Committee of City Finance Bank Limited, Richard previously held positions at the Governing Council of AA of Kenya, Kenya Motor Sports Federation and more.In his spare time Richard likes to go camping, play rugby or golf, and be active in motorsports.
