Dedicated to staying current with improvements in the orthopedics field, Dr. Richard Reut is a proud member of several professional organizations. His involvement in the Minnesota Medical Association, the American Medical Association (AMA), the American College of Sports Medicine, and the Hennepin County Medical Society only portrays a fraction of his passion and commitment to deliver the highest quality of treatment and care to his patients.
Dr. Richard Reut’s compassion for patients in need of medical assistance also led him to take part in a variety of community service projects and organizations, a selfless hobby he began in his college days. His current community project involvement includes the Adopt-A-School program, the American Red Cross, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In his years as an undergraduate, Dr. Reut supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Adopt-A-Grandparent; he also volunteered for the local ambulance service.
After he graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (now Midwestern University) with a Doctor of Osteopathy, Dr. Richard Reut began a string of internships. First, he fulfilled a one-year position to gain a cohesive understanding of the many facets required to operate a medical clinic effectively; this general rotation program took place at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medical Center. The three years that followed saw Dr. Reut completing his residency in Family Practice at Cook County Hospital. Rounding out his studious internship programs, Dr. Richard Reut performed a fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, also located in Chicago, where he practiced sports medicine.
Today, in addition to working as a Staff Physician at Twin Cities Orthopedics in Edina, Minnesota, Dr. Richard Reut is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. As an educator, Dr. Reut provides instruction for graduate students within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
