To better understand me I think it is important to see the different facets to me. I have several different identities based on my company & my objectives. I am first and formost, a Christian woman. I am a loving wife and protective mother, a grieving parent and a survivor. I am also a teacher, and student. Of all my titles and roles, my 1st is being a Christian. It is my honor to daily use the energy given to me to bring honor and glory to God. My 2nd title is that of a wife. I have a wonderful, amazing husband who truly is my source of love and support. He is my hero, best friend and probably the smartest man I have ever met. I can't help but to love him and thank God he is mine : ) My 3rd is that of a parent. I love being a mommy. Up until a few months ago I was the mother of 4 boys, now we have 5, we are the proud foster parents of a 14-year old son. I love my boys. This has been a year of major transitions for them. Our oldest son, is a freshman at Colorado Christian University. We have 2, highschool freshman boys at 2 different high schools. Our youngest son, just started junior high. We also have a son who will forever stay 9 years old in my heart. He no longer lives with us as Jesus has called him home. My 4th role is as a survivor. I have fought and won 2 battles with cancer over the past 7 years. At this time in my life I am cancer -free and I expect to stay that way. My 5th role details my jobs. I hold down 2 part-time jobs. The 1st is working with special needs students at a local college. I am also an academic advisor to the Upward Bound Program. In addition, I hold down 2 full-time positions. I am the IT specialist and web host for a local car dealership and recently took on a full-time position at a local high school teaching business and technology classes. I have been teaching for 12 years now. I love teaching and feel it is my calling in life. I have taught preschool for a couple of years. I helped develop a voc-track program for a private high school. I spend 5 years teaching in a small rural area school where I taught 4th, 5th, & 6th grade, all subjects in one classroom at the same time. I have taught college classes and worked with special needs students at the college level. I currently teach high school business and technology classes. I am also the FBLA and Yearbook advisor. My final role is a student. I currently take classes at Full Sail, and at Adams State University.
