Richard Stubbs

An NHS manager with an interest in innovation and leadership, I am currently CEO at the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN). Current interests include the spread and adoption of innovation across the NHS, defining a more productive relationship between the NHS and the healthcare industry, cross-boundary leadership in the public sector, and exploring commercial and philanthropic opportunities for UK plc in international healthcare markets.

I was an inaugural member of the NHS National Leadership Council, and the DH Health and Innovation Scrutiny Group which is focused on the implementation of the Boorman Review to improve the health and well-being of NHS staff. Prior to my current role, I was Deputy Director of Innovation at NHS England, with a portfolio covering commercial and international innovation.
