I’m Richard Thurstan, and after spending over 40 years in the Insurance Industry, I’ve had my fair share of unique and unexpected experiences. From navigating the challenges of being a Loss Adjuster to dealing with everything from aggressive dogs to flying fists, my career has been full of unexpected adventures. In my debut memoir, The Perils of a Loss Adjuster, I share these stories with humor and insight, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the world of insurance with plenty of entertaining twists. Now retired, I enjoy a peaceful life with my wife, Ann, in Staffordshire, where we spend our time walking, sailing, and traveling in our motor home.
