In preparation for his career, Mr. Voytas studied at the University of Missouri at Columbia, from which he graduated with his juris doctor. While a graduate student, he wrote for the school’s law journal. He also participated in and was champion of a moot court competition. His educational background also includes time at St. Louis University, where he earned his master of science in finance.

In the past, Mr. Voytas instructed graduate and undergraduate students in matters related to law and economics as associate professor with Fontbonne University. In recognition of his accomplishments, he was nominated for the Joan Goostree Stephens Teacher of the Year Award.
