Richard White

I am gamma-ray astronomer working towards the next generation array of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes - the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA). I am member of the H.E.S.S. collaboration and also spend time writing code to analyse GeV gamma-ray data from the Fermi satellite. My background is in experimental astrophysics and I focus a large fraction of my time on electronic and instrument development. I am currently an STFC funded research fellow in the X-Ray and Observational Astronomy group at the University of Leicester, where I also work closely with the Space Research Centre. In my spare time I am a co-director of Exergy Forge, a small R&D; company developing custom firmware and electronics.
