My name is Richard Williams, I lead change.

A Manufacturing Managing Director and Interim Manager for over 30 years I have lead step change business improvement within blue chip international manufacturing companies.

I have reshaped business operations in Aerospace, Automotive and FMCG businesses relocating, consolidating, ramping up or simply shaking things up.

By challenging the status quo, focusing on cost down, profit up values, I guide businesses through turbulent times to improve productivity and bottom line.

Practicing Lean principles and applying continuous improvement across the entire supply chain is my norn.

I thrive in challenging environments, demonstrating commercial efficiencies with a 'more from less' approach like:-

• Leading a transformation project at Icon Polymers achieving £3/4M cost down on a £13M Division
• Leading a major investment project to establish new manufacturing facilities at Sentury Tires (China)
• Introducing step up in technology and capability, reconfiguring operations, achieving step change in performance of £2M cost down on £18M operating cost whilst relocating a manufacturing facility from Japan to UK for Dunlop Aircraft Tyres
• Developing strategies for long term growth following relocation and consolidation, achieving bottom line improvements into double digits with year on year growth over 20% at BHD Building Products
• At MFI developing site strategies for turnaround that saw outputs double over a nine month period, delivery perpormance transform from 75% to 98% first time in full (FTIF) whilst reducing costs by 40% and assembly times by 30%
• At Dunlop's iconic Birminghan site with a 3000 people facility supplying leading OEM’s I restructured the facility to remove a raft of Spanish practices and instil purpose achieving £3M in cost down and leading the successful relocation and final closure.
• At Dunlop's Washington facility I lead the site to achieve ‘best in class’ out of 24 European sites
