Investor, Founder, Tech Entrepreneur, and Consumer Financial Services Executive with proven experience leading organizations from startup through sustained growth and liquidity. Rich is co-founder and former president of Ally Invest, the FINRA and SEC regulated brokerage and wealth management business acquired by Ally Financial, Inc. (NYSE: ALLY). Rich played a central hands-on role ensuring that the digital brokerage and advisory businesses' strategy, technology, marketing, client service, and compliance & risk groups all worked in concert to deliver an exceptional client experience. Under his leadership, clients grew to over 500,000, representing over $7 Billion in assets under management. Rich helped the firm raise its capital dealing with banks, private equity firms, venture capital companies, and other independent investors. Rich worked closely with the Ally Financial, Inc. banking team, helping drive their digital transformation and transition to an agile business operating methodology. Business and financial media, ranging from The Wall Street Journal to The New York Times, Investment News, CNN/Money, and Yahoo! Finance, regularly turned to Rich for insights and commentary on investing news and trends. In 2014, Rich was recognized by Wealth Management Magazine, as one of the industry’s “Ten to Watch.”

Rich was a key participant at Ally Financial, Inc. Board meetings leading discussions surrounding business performance, strategy, risk, compliance, and regulatory matters. Rich was a Board member of TradeKing for eleven years where he served as a business-operating director. Rich currently serves on the Professional Advisory Board of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital – ALSAC and The Novant Hospital Foundation. He has made investments in several early-stage and growth companies investing most recently Remine, a consumer property and data intelligence platform.

Rich holds a B. A. in business and marketing from Southampton College and is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licensed Series 24 - General Securities Principal, Series 7 - General Securities Representative, and Series 63 - Uniform Securities Agent.
