Richie Roesner
Student in Chicago, Illinois
Richie is a junior public relations major at DePaul University. During his time at DePaul, he has made it his mission to develop both professionally and personally and has been fortunate enough to receive several opportunities to do so.
After Richie’s freshman year, he had the privilege of serving as a new student orientation leader and has not looked back since. This experience opened up several doors right away. He spent the summer learning about leadership and helped new DePaul students feel at home at their new school.
Before spending the summer developing on several levels and energizing students to begin their journey at DePaul, he participated in DemonTHON, DePaul University's 24-hour dance marathon benefiting Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. The experience changed his life and he joined the organization's overall committee the following year as assistant director of morale. He currently holds the position of internal director within the organization. During his time on the Overall Committee, DemonTHON gained national recognition as the fasted growing dance marathon, raising $1 million in just five years.
As for Richie’s major, he is currently an intern at Margie Korshak, Inc., the longest-running boutique PR firm in the city of Chicago. He loves writing and public relations provides him with an outlet to write creatively and problem-solve. Every day, he strive to improve and learn something new.
When Richie is not working, he is probably singing with his a Cappella group, cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks or eating an Italian beef sandwich at Portillo's. He has a love for life and his passions drive him.
