Teacher, researcher, and Social Media Junkie in Cincinnati, Ohio
My life experiences have provided me a variety of skill sets and perspectives. To show for it I've earned degrees from Northern Arizona University, Minnesota State University- Mankato, and the University of Cincinnati. My research interests include experiential learning, electronic portfolio (eportfolio) assessment and development, digital identities, and social media.
I currently work at the University of Cincinnati as the Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the Division of Experience-Based Learning and Career Education. In addition to teaching a first-year course, I also work with mechanical engineering students in the College of Engineering & Applied Science complete their co-op requirements. Tapping into the jack-of-all-trades idea, I'm also the resident electronic portfolio expert, program assessment, and cool gadget dude.
I live in Wyoming, Ohio, with my wife and two kids. My wife also works in higher education and it has been fascinating watching our kids grow up with the students we work with.
