I have been a freelance author for 25 years, mainly as a film, literary and music critic. In 2013, I published my first book, “Documentary 101: A Viewer’s Guide to Non-Fiction Film”, a reference work that reviews nearly 350 feature-length documentary films. That same year, I also started my blog Reel and Rock, covering film, music and pop culture subjects. A graduate of New England School of Photography, I also have a background in the visual arts and have worked as a freelance photographer/videographer and location scout. My next book “Rock Docs: A Fifty-Year Cinematic Journey” will be published in 2015.
