Love for music and for others who also do. J.S. Bach to Dexter Gordon to Robin Trower, and on... Playing, all about rhythm, progression, melody, etc. Still, seems the notation, while a guide, is not the music*.

Best is finding a group's musical inspirations at impromptu jams. Just being with the whole sound and process, letting that thing happen. No time, only the open space we create, and things we put into it.

*One considers Glenn Gould, who played Bach as though he were the composer.
