Rick Bass Washington

Rick “Bass” Washington, also known as Ricky to those who know and love him, is a native New Yorker. Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, he has had a love for music since his early childhood. While his desire was to play the guitar like the other kids in his neighborhood, his mother bought him a bass guitar. Rick never looked back as his love for playing the bass grew over time.

Rick learned how to read music at Brockport University, but is more of a self-taught musician and entertains all genres of music. Rick got his first start playing in night clubs, cook-outs and special events with numerous local Syracuse bands.

Rick currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his new wife, Jaime, who he actually met many years ago, while playing in a Syracuse band. Their friendship grew over the years, but they lost contact. In 2013, that all changed when they were reunited and Rick knew that he was going to marry the love of his life…and he did, on April 18, 2015, which happens to be his mother’s birthday.

To know Rick, is to love Rick. He is very personable and has a gentle spirit. He has a love for his family and most importantly gave His life to the Lord. While Rick is not perfect, he strives everyday to know Christ and to see himself as Christ sees him. His favorite scripture is, Psalm 23 as he was taught this scripture by his late grandmother. Rick admits, at the time, he did not understand Psalm 23, but now, along with his wife, recites this scripture at night as a reminder that God is their protector and provider and they shall not want or lack anything.
