Rick Williams served his country for over 30 years culminating as a Rear Admiral in the United States Navy. During his time in military leadership, he held senior command assignments at the Surface Group Middle Pacific and Navy Region Hawaii. As a senior leader, he achieved a number of key milestones, including creating a first-of-its-kind Counter-Piracy Maritime Force, a group dedicated to combating hijackings at sea. The force participated in the rescue of the Maersk Alabama, a U.S. container ship that was attacked by pirates in 2009. In the war against terrorists, Williams also helped integrate naval Special Force and strike operations from the maritime.

In preparation for his military career, Rick Williams enrolled at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. He graduated with his master of arts in national security affairs. Earlier, he studied at the University of Maryland, where he earned his Masters of Business Administration, and at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in business.

In his private life, he stays active by running, skiing and golf.
