Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1986, his beginnings as a web designer are rooted in teaching himself the use of simple HTML and later graduating from an e-commerce course at the Louis Riel Arts and Technology Centre with honours. Drawn to Ontario in 2007 with hopes of studies in New Media, Richard began his artistic studies in the Visual and Creative arts program at Sheridan College and graduated with an Advanced Diploma and 3.6+ GPA.

Throughout his college career Richard's work could often be found on display around the college, as well as having sculptural work featured on the Sheridan Homepage through their Shine Brighter program. Working collaboratively on paintings commissioned by a new Health Centre in Burlington and as a resident advisor for two simultaneous years demonstrates Richard's ability to relate well with others and not hesitate to take on leadership roles. Currently organizing an art collective with several talented collegues, Richard continues to take on new initiatives in the artistic and interactive multimedia fields. Post graduate studies in Sheridan College's Interactive Multimedia will conclude in spring 2012.
