Author

I write on subjects as varied as those I read. Diversified subject matters and sometimes eclectic tastes permeate my work. I have written articles on astronomical observatories, tropical fish, and parenting.

My novel Neanderthal Swan Song deals with the ethics of cloning. A preserved Neanderthal body is discovered and scientists decide to bring him back.

I have over 40 published short stories, some of which are available free online.

I am a member of SFWA.

Anthologist

I edited two short fiction anthologies, 2020 Visions and Ergosphere. Another anthology is in the planning stages.

Engineer

I worked in various engineering capacities in the semiconductor industry for a decade and a half. Prior to that, I worked in medical device research and development, and I have also been a member of a mission control team for research satellites.

Aquarist

I am an avid fishkeeper, with anywhere from one to fifteen tanks going at any given time. Right now, I have ten tanks in operation. I am a known keeper and breeder of "class N" Endler's Livebearers completely free of contamination from guppy DNA. I also currently breed the difficult-to-find Australian Desert Goby.

Mathematician

I am a part-time mathematics professor in the local community college system. I teach a wide variety of classes from introductory algebra through multi-variable calculus.

Cruciverbalist

I am a member of that rare profession of crossword puzzle construction. You can sample some of my crossword puzzles on my website.
