Richard Peters, Ph.D.

Dr. Peters holds a B.A. in Political Science (UCLA) an M.A. in Experimental Psychology and a Ph.D. in School Psychology (both earned at Ball State University). He was employed at the Indiana Department of Education for twelve years as the Director of School Assessment where he helped to create and monitor the Indiana Educational Testing for Educational Progress student assessment system. He was also employed for the same number of years as the Research and Assessment Director of the Indianapolis Public Schools. Now semi-retired, Dr. Peters plays the blues, does consulting work and continues to study and comment on educational matters pertaining to high-stakes testing, statistical modeling, data interpretation and related topics.
