Rick Rambo
Partner Rick Rambo of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP provides litigation and related legal services in areas such as intellectual property and commercial litigation. A partner with the firm for three years, Rick Rambo has practiced law for almost 20 years, prior to which he gained an additional decade of business experience. In addition to his law degree, Rick Rambo holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Business.
Rick Rambo's early experience primarily involved engineering projects. He later held various positions in the software design industry and at one point, founded his own company. As owner of Software System Developers, Inc. Rick Rambo created navigation software for offshore industries. His knowledge of technology and the maritime industry provided the basis for his work.
Today, as a trial lawyer, Rick Rambo represents clients all over the world. His cases involve patent infringement, electronics and software-related matters, Internet law, and maritime law, among other issues. Rick Rambo has worked extensively in both state and federal courts. His notable cases have included representation of an industry-leading computer manufacturer in numerous patent infringement cases, as well as cases involving alleged breach of warranty on high-tech products and alleged theft of trade secrets from a newly established company in Canada. Rick Rambo has represented overseas companies and major insurance providers as well as domestic companies.
Rick Rambo is a member of the American Bar Association and the Houston Bar Association. He is also part of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is licensed to practice law in multiple states, Texas, Colorado, and the District of Columbia, and he is licensed as a Patent Attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
