Ricky Payne

Ricky Payne is a renegade media professional from the United Kingdom who now lives in Holland.

In high school his talent for Art was recognised and upon leaving school he had the heartfelt intention to become a professional illustrator.

From illustration to corporate design, his time in the world of design was short and sweet. The source of most of his work were web developers producing applications or developing on behalf of a third party.This sparked his curiosity about the possibilities of web development & web-based media production as he already had a deep interest in internet culture. This was during the turn of the century and the internet was a very different environment back then. An environment on the verge of a revolution.

Ricky turned 20yrs of age as Apple released the Ipod. A device which would bring digital audio into your pocket and open up an entirely new frontier for digital content providers. Ricky recognised the significance of this shift. Bringing together his design experience with his IT experience, he entered the world of podcasting at e very pivotal time. A year later, the rise of popular podcasts like the Ricky gervais show would inspire a generation to produce their own content which went with the general spirit of the times for that same year saw the founding of YouTube. Media was becoming free and accessible to everyone and Ricky decided he wanted to be a part of that movement.

Ricky ended up advising and assisting individuals and media companies in creating and providing on-demand content. He has worked with talented individuals and contributed to bring their voice to the public attention.

A new chapter in his life began when he met his Dutch girlfriend and would move to Holland to start a new life there.

In 2016 he plans to found a creative studio in United Kingdom while finding work in Holland.
