Ricky Stern

Ricky Stern is president of GAR Disability Advocates as well as senior vice president of GAR's parent company Asta Funding, Inc. since 2014. As co-founder of GAR, Stern has managed its growth from five employees in New Jersey, to over 120 employees working in 22 offices nationwide.

Prior, Stern was assistant treasurer of Asta Funding. He began his career as an analyst with Morgan Stanley.

Stern holds a masters of business administration from Pace University. In addition, he has participated in the executive education programs of the Wharton School of Business and New York University's Stern School of Business.

He is a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Investment Management Analyst, licensed health insurance producer in both New York and New Jersey and has attained the Accredited Disability Representative designation. He is also a frequent co-host of "Avanzando" a Spanish talk show airing Sunday afternoons in New York City.
