Riley Martin is a passionate, creative individual with a knack for storytelling and the skills and determination to back it up.
During her time in the RTA Media Production Program, Riley has been expanding her skills and experience, gaining a deeper understanding of the production process from start to finish. She has taken courses in Multicamera Production, Producing/Production Management, Script Writing, Video Editing/Motion Graphics, and Social Media. She has been very involved in extracurriculars, volunteering on RamsLive broadcasts, a variety of short film productions, as an audition assistant with Proper Television, the Social Media Coordinator for Musicians@Ryerson, and on the executive team for her Acappella group, Ryenamics.
Over the last four years, Riley has worked as freelance broadcast personnel for a variety of productions of all sizes. Currently, she is working as a tracking operator for SportsMedia Technologies on their NHL player puck tracking project. She helped set up the tracking system and operates the software during leafs games out of the Scotiabank Arena. Riley also works as a production operator on the City of Mississauga video team, working as a director/switcher, camera operator, and replay operator for the Raptors 905, Mississauga Steelheads, and weekly music festivals at Celebration Square. Some highlights include directing shows including Mississauga New Years’ Eve 2020, and the sold-out Pascal Siakum Bobblehead Night at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. In addition, Riley has done a wide array of freelance camera work for companies such as JVI video, GRAB Productions, and CUJO Entertainment.
