Riska Mirzalina

Copenhagen, Denmark

Creativity and internationalism are in my gene. Equipped with strong business background from Prasetiya Mulya Business School, Jakarta, I established my first start-up in 2008, Klassamirza Eco-Footwear, producing ladies footwear, hand-made of recycled textiles by home industry communities around Bogor, Indonesia. As an earth lover, I teamed up Klassamirza with international projects focus on environment and social entrepreneurship: the brand and I have been awarded as Bayer Young Environmental Envoy 2009 in Leverkusen, Germany, and DENSO Youth for Earth Action 2010 in Nagoya, Japan.

I develop my social interests on human rights, economy, and international affairs by traveling around the world, either for independent or project ones. Nothing could best describe my role to the world than sharing through creative writings and direct community coaching. My essay, "Creative Business: The Art of Seeking Opportunity in Crisis" received the 1st Prize 2010 World Bank Essay Competition in Sweden. With experience on social entrepreneurship and environments, I actively share these knowledge through guest lectures and seminars in different universities and organizations, including The World Bank Open Forum 2010 on Jump Starting Job. Last but not least, British Council, UK, has trusted to keep up my contribution by awarding me as a Global Changemaker.

I currently live in Copenhagen, Denmark, embrace family life, and enjoy my career as an online analyst and project manager at a sustainable building material manufacturer (roof windows and active house project partner), VELUX A/S.
