Rita Kirchgassner earned a BA Degree from Marian University, Indianapolis, Indiana and an MA Degree from Mt. St. Joseph University, Cincinnati, Ohio. She also has a counseling and administration certification from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. Her emphasis of study is the social sciences, in addition to researching family history. Semper Anticus, the book is her gift to her descendants.

Rita has spent the last forty years researching her father's service with the Forty-Fifth Infantry Division in World War II and has published "Semper Anticus." This publication shares her father's story of perseverance, love of country and family.

Rita has worked in the educational field since 1987. Prior to switching careers, she worked in county government.

Currently, Rita is a counselor at Lawrenceburg High School, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Rita is a member of the American Legion Auxilary, National Geographical Society and volunteers regularly with the Kitchen Mission.

Rita has one child, a daughter, who currently serves in the United States Army.
