I'm surprised she wasn't bullied for her short stature like the other kids, but no fear, they found something else to criticize. She was bullied until high school because she is foreign- Finnish to be exact. Why is this relevant? Well, growing up on three different continents, and experiencing a WORLD of alienation does wonders for a person. She learned from the negative words, and instead of becoming bitter, she used the negative energy and converted it into productivity and kindness. I guess ignorning peer pressure also led her to do well in academics. Really, there are over seven billion people in the world, but only one spunky Finnish choir girl with a passion for medicine. Once she becomes a pediatrician according to her plan, her mission will be to treat the new citizens of the world.
