Rita Cofield is a professional preservation consultant with expertise in community-led projects. She has been working for over 10 years honing her skills as a historic resources manager advocating for culturally significant resources as well as those that are architecturally significant. Her career began as an architect and with the help of the theater world found she preferred to maintain the integrity of historic resources much like she did with the artistic integrity of directors.

In 2021, Rita graduated from the University of Southern California with a Masters in Heritage Conservation. She looks forward to continuing her work in preservation trades, conservation consultation, community-led advocacy, and historic research.

Rita brings her passions and experiences to the city of Watts where she was born and raised, and still lives. Rita's clients can rely on her commitment to advocate, manage, and restore historic resources with a commitment to care for the surrounding neighborhood.
