I am an experienced and committed English language educator with 12 years of teaching experience both in India and U.S.A. I am also a dual-degree Ph. D candidate in Curriculum & Instruction and Comparative & International Education from the Pennsylvania State University, USA. In 2008, I was the recipient of the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship to teach at Indiana University, USA. Apart from learning and teaching languages, I am also a writer and am academically interested in cultural studies and literature, particularly comparative literature and children’s literature.

In the past I have taught Bengali at Indiana University, USA as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant and Children's Literature to undergraduate pre-service teachers at the Pennsylvania State University, USA as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I have also taught ESL and Business Communication in several institutions in India, including NSHM college and TEFL International. I have conducted teacher's training workshops in B.D. Memorial School. I have also worked as an editor for newspapers and as a freelance editor and content developer for leading publishers in India, including Oxford University Press, India.

Currently, I am looking for a full-time teaching position in the field of English and cultural studies, where I can apply my knowledge and skills for continuous improvement of both myself and my students.
