Ever since the first time I picked up a tennis racket, a passion has emerged within me that has ultimately molded my path in high school. Originally, I was told to play tennis because it was a contactless sport, so it was supposed to be the least harmful. However, the sport's strategic nature, physical challenge, and competition intrigued me.

My tennis journey started many years ago when I was 9, and I was able to dedicate countless hours and days to the game. Every day, I would push my physical and mental boundaries to perfect my game. After a couple of years of intense training, it started paying off as I started to win some big tournaments. This gave me motivation to work even harder, but I had to make sure I was able to balance academics with tennis. As I was getting older, my workload for both was getting bigger. When I first came to high school, I wanted to join the tennis team. However, due to COVID-19, my first two years in high school came to a short end.

In my senior year, all the hard work I had put in during my last couple of years finally paid off. I was able to get myself and my school a state championship victory for the first time in an entire decade. The feeling once it all came in was surreal, and I can never replicate a moment like that ever again. As I accomplished my goal for high school, I was ready to begin a new chapter of my life in college.
