Lucinda Ritter
International educator in Kathmandu, Nepal
I am an elementary learning support teacher with a variety of teaching experiences in the United States and at three International Schools in Asia. I am looking to secure a position at an international school for the 2020-21 academic year.
My teaching experiences cover a variety of settings and countries. My most recent positions include: lower elementary learning support teacher, long term guest teacher at the International School in Kuala Lumpur and second grade teacher at Lincoln School in Kathmandu, Nepal. I have studied, lived and worked in such diverse places as: Luxembourg City, Taipei, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City. Having had those experiences has allowed me to develop flexibility, adaptability, and an appreciation for foreign cultures.
Being an international educator based in Asia has allowed me the good fortune of travelling to a variety of countries and familiarizing myself with different cultures, such as: Thailand, Indonesia, Tanzania and a variety of places in India. I enjoy writing haiku poetry, studying Eastern philosophy and learning new languages. I look forward to my next assignment at an international school where I can continue to cultivate my love of learning, exploring and fostering my teaching practice.
